10 – Alpaca Magic Open Day

Enjoy the llamas and babies as they roam amongst the guests! Everyone’s welcome to get up close with the animals and give them hugs, feed them carrots and take lots of selfies! Take a picnic basket and stretch out in the garden or grab a sausage sandwich for a gold coin donation. There’ll also be spinning demonstrations and a stall selling carrots, llama pens, llama key rings and llama plush toys.

9 – Canberra Harvest Festival

There’ll be something for everyone at the 2018 Canberra Harvest Festival! The Environment Centre will cook gourmet, organic food made from local produce with local producers showcasing their harvest. There’ll also be free sustainable living workshops, live music and some of Canberra’s delicious local tipples! If your child is growing some exciting things, why not enter the Kids Fruit and Vegetable Growing Competition, with awesome prizes up for grabs! Kids can also paint, draw and play games.

8 – Connect and Participate (CAP) Expo

A chance for people of all ages and abilities to connect with social, recreational, cultural, artistic and sporting groups around Canberra! 7 – GWS Giants vs Western Bulldogs

AFL footy returns to Canberra with the GWS Giants’ premiership season kicking off against the Western Bulldogs this weekend! Get there early to enjoy the family entertainment including a Fan Zone, inflatables, merchandise, G-Man and Gigi. Wear orange and warm up those vocal chords to help cheer GWS to victory!

6 – AusIndia Fair

An event bringing Australia and India together, showcasing the values both countries share! There’ll be something for everyone, with food, culture, dancing, a live band, yoga, sports and more. 5 – Relay for Life

A fun and moving overnight experience raising vital funds for the Cancer Council ACT’s research, prevention, information and support services. A chance for the local community to recognise and celebrate local cancer survivors, patients and their carers, to honour and remember loved ones lost and to raise money to help save more lives.

4 – Canberra Beerfest
