10) Big Dance

A free dance event that gives everyone the opportunity to get their groove on! The Big Dance is happening as part of International Dance Day, with hundreds of people performing across Australia. From seasoned pros to amateurs, everyone’s welcome to join in the Big Dance! The routine includes versions to suit varying capabilities. 8) Model Car Exhibition 2018

Organisers hope to showcase over 300 model cars, as well as some incredible boats, LEGO, tanks, cranes, planes and more! All ages are welcome. There’ll be sausage sandwiches, soft drinks, tea and coffee.

7) MS Walk + Fun Run

6) Championship Dog Show

The perfect way to get your doggie fix this weekend with hundreds of breeds on show from 9am each day. With over 600 dogs entered, there’ll be ample opportunity to see a variety of breeds – some rarely seen in these parts. There’ll also be the usual show stoppers like Perfectly Presented Poodles, Cautiously Cute Cattle dogs and Sheepishly Shameless Shepherds!

4) Free sports day for kids 2-6 yrs

Ready Steady Go Kids is holding a FREE Open Fun day this weekend! Bring your little ones (2-6yrs) to try fun sports and games, have their face painted and take home a balloon. An opportunity for kids and their grownups to try out modified sports equipment, chat to coaches and find out more about the awesome multi-sports program. It’s a fun active morning for everyone!

3) Dutch Food and Culture Festival

2) Brumbies vs Crusaders

Cheer on the Brumbies as they take on the reigning champions the Crusaders at GIO Stadium! The Brumbies last defeated the Crusaders in 2009, with the New Zealanders having the upper hand in recent years. But our guys are determined to take the win! It’s the Military Round with the Brumbies to recognise the important part played by the Armed Forces in this country. The curtain raiser match will see ADFA take on RMC.

1) Henry Rolland Park opening

A fun community event to celebrate Canberra’s new lakeside park! Henry Rolland Park at West Basin will be open to the public with live music, fitness classes, games and kids activities that take advantage of the new park’s high-quality facilities. Food and drink vendors will be on site and local businesses that make use of Lake Burley Griffin will also operate from the park for the day.
