9) Queanbeyan Christmas in July Market Day
Enjoy over 200 unique market stalls, belly filling foods and a whole lot of community love. The day includes Christmas-inspired food, gourmet treats, beer and wine, handmade Christmas gifts, an artificial snow area, Daschund races and fashion show, an art exhibition, a play area for your elves, carriage rides, outdoor obstacle course, bubble soccer, Santa pet photos and a giving tree. There is even a special appearance from the big man in red!

8) RSPCA Cupcake Day launch
Over 1000 amazing cupcakes will be on sale at South.Point Tuggeranong to launch RSPCA Cupcake Day! There’ll be free face painting, a jumping castle and cupcake decorating for the kids – a fun way to raise much-needed funds for the RSPCA in Canberra. The fundraising goal is $4000.

7) Canberra Miniature Railway Family Fun Day
You’re invited to ride on the miniature trains at the Symonston track! They’ll also be hosting another display from the Canberra & District Historic Engine Club for your entertainment. The canteen will have refreshments all day. Access is via Jerrabomberra Avenue south from Hindmarsh Drive.

6) Santa Speedo Shuffle
Dozens of Canberrans will brave the cold and run around Lake Burley Griffin on Sunday in their speedos to raise money for locals living with cystic fibrosis. While registrations have closed for the speedo run, locals can still sign up for the crazy Christmas jumper walk! Organisers hope to raise close to $200,000!

5) Canberra Big Band Winter Wonderland

1) Rugby League the Musical
A hilarious blend of stand-up comedy and musical satire that takes aim at Rugby League and its many controversies and characters. Produced and performed by sports satirist Denis Carnahan, Rugby League the Musical is coming to Canberra with entertaining new material based on the current season, along with old favourites. You may’ve heard of Denis through his State of Origin song that went viral – “That’s in Queensland”.
