9) Nerf Game Halloween Special

8) Family Fun Day – Celebrating 90 yrs of Guides ACT

Girl Guides ACT are celebrating their 90th birthday with a family fun day! The day will be jam-packed with guide activities, a mobile rock climbing wall, face painting, a sausage sizzle, campfire fun, cupcakes, a jumping castle, tent displays, and of course, birthday cake! 7) CBR Fair Day

Help celebrate Canberra’s diverse LGBTIQ communities by taking part in a fabulous day of music and performances. There’ll be activities, workshops, delicious food and even a rainbow pet parade! More than 3000 people and 40+ stallholders took part in 2016, and this year’s event is expected to be bigger and brighter!

6) Canberra Nara Candle Festival

An amazing sight to see – 2000 shimmering candles at the Canberra Nara Candle Festival, celebrating the sister city relationship between Canberra and Nara, Japan. Enjoy Japanese music, calligraphy, lantern making, origami, ikebana, kite flying, Japanese cuisine and markets. Parking is available in the Parliamentary Zone with a free shuttle bus to the park.

5) Canberra Home & Leisure Show

Whether you’re on the hunt for a new caravan or camper, or want to check out the latest in camping or accessories, there’ll be something for you! Local chefs will create gourmet delights showcasing local produce, wines, beer and spirits. Team D-MAX will treat visitors to a trip up and down the ramp at a 45 degree angle and two wheel rides for adults. Other features include interactive family baking demonstrations, a kids play zone, free face painting, competitions, a petting zoo and more!

4) Oktoberfest

Pretzels, beer and German dancing – what could make for a better weekend? Oktoberfest will be bigger and better than ever at its new location – the Queanbeyan Showgrounds. 3) Rugby League World Cup – France vs Lebanon

2) ESA Open Day

The ultimate day out for kids big and small! Sit in trucks, try out fire hoses, explore the ESA headquarters and meet the people who keep our community safe. There’ll also be firefighting demonstrations, food stalls, kid’s entertainment, face painting, a petting zoo and jumping castles.

1) Boogong

Boogong is one of the biggest Halloween street parties in Australia! Dress up and get amongst the hordes of ghosts, goblins and zombies! There’ll be muscle acrobats, jugglers, stilt walkers, roving monsters, an eerie light show, giant spiders, live music, more than 20 gourmet food vendors and fireworks at 9pm! More than 15,000 people attended in 2016 with an even bigger crowd expected this year.
