8 – Canberra Vikings vs Fijian Drua

These two teams are neck and neck on the NRC ladder, and Fijian Drua are coming off a massive win, so it’s set to be a fierce afternoon of rugby! Cheer our guys on as they hit the field for their second home game this season.

On display will be a large range of Holden cars from the early 1950’s to some of the last Holden’s made in Australia. A gold coin will get you in on the day with all proceeds going to Rise Above Capital Region Cancer Relief.

6 – Floriade

Floriade is a diverse program of music, cultural celebrations, food and wine, horticultural workshops, market traders, artistic displays, entertainment and recreational activities. With over one million blooms on display, Floriade is the perfect place to experience the beauty of Spring. Lifeline Canberra is also hosting a Family Day on the Saturday and a Bootcamp on the Sunday. Nightfest is also coming up!

5 – Tidbinbilla Open Day
Join MC ‘Tim the Yowie Man’ for a fun-filled day of nature-based experiences, kid’s activities, live music, displays, food stalls, demonstrations and more – held in the great outdoors! The theme is ‘Explore, Relax, Recharge’ where visitors are encouraged to explore the Reserve with renewed curiosity and a focus on the many benefits to be gained from spending a day in nature.

3 – Yass Railway Museum Picnic Day

The Yass Railway Museum is hosting a Picnic Day to raise awareness about the museum and its history. Families are invited to bring a picnic, rug and enjoy a fun family day out. The day will be jam packed with activities including umping castles, face painting and pony rides for the kids; antique cars and historic trains for the adults.

2 – AFL Grand Final

Lots of local pubs and clubs will have the screens and bars fired up for Saturday’s big AFL Grand Final between the GWS Giants and Richmond! There’s a range of celebrations happening at venues like The Duxton, King O’Malley’s and Bleachers Sports Bar – just to name a few! Kick off is at 2:30pm.

1 – Canberra’s Biggest Barn Dance

The Wilko Show with Courts is inviting Canberrans to join them at Canberra’s Biggest Barn Dance! Enjoy a fun afternoon while helping raise money for Rural Aid and drought relief. There’ll be live music, dancing, activities, great food and so much more, with all proceeds going to farming families struggling with the effects of drought. If you pre-purchase tickets, you’ll get free travel on buses and light rail!
